Nick and Sharifa began their entrepreneurial journey with a thriving Charcoal Chicken Shop, known for its delicious fare and warm community spirit. However, their hearts were drawn to a different kind of artistry — photography.
Driven by their passion for capturing life's most precious moments, they sold their beloved chicken shop to pursue photography. Their dedication and talent quickly propelled them to the forefront of Australia's wedding and portrait industry, earning Xsight Photography and Video numerous national and international awards.
Their studio became synonymous with elegance, emotion, and unparalleled craftsmanship. For over two decades, Nick and Sharifa cherished every moment behind the lens, creating lasting memories for countless families.
Then, in early 2020, the world faced an unprecedented challenge — COVID-19. Lockdowns and restrictions brought their thriving photography business to a sudden halt. Unable to photograph weddings and portraits, Nick and Sharifa found themselves at a crossroads.
Amidst Victoria's stage 4 lockdowns, fate intervened once more — an opportunity arose to reopen a chicken shop. Drawing on their entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering determination, they embraced this unexpected twist of fate. Trusting their instincts and their ability to adapt, they pivoted swiftly.
